Bring your theory of care, joy and deep connection into practice.

By Moonlight weaves humanity back into our lives and workplaces through facilitating uniquely creative and restful retreats, care sessions and relationship building circles

Our current systems continue to work relentlessly against our humanity.

From racist, misogynistic and anti-trans policies to our iphones and desktops stealing our attention away from experiencing the nourishment of human connection.

However, you have the awareness to know that what you place your attention on will grow. And you are ready to give your full attention to practicing a world that feels beautiful, connected and deliciously nourished.

As leaders, directors, and program managers it is your job to make bold and brave moves right now towards creating the world that is full of belonging, imagination and healing.

“To rest in a capitalist world takes practice and meticulous care.”- Tricia Hersey

By Moonlight is a group of art centered healing justice facilitators that help individuals and team leaders move beyond the theory of cultures of care and into the practice of shamelessly resting, wildly creating, powerfully singing and relentlessly loving every single day.

Our humanity is creative and belongs in every aspect of our lives and workplaces.

Testimonials

  • “What stands out most about Sojourner’s work is their ability to integrate rest, connection, and creativity into non-profit and leadership spaces in ways that feel both radical and necessary. In a culture that often prioritizes output over well-being, they remind us that joy and community care are not luxuries but essential tools for liberation.”

    Anika Tene

  • “Sojourner makes rest — during a 90 minute work day session, no less! — more possible. They help me see that each action toward healing, done with intention, has an impact. I also love how they host spaces of deep care and thoughtfulness that support complex conversations. Sojourner has helped our team move through conflict, burnout, resentment, grief— play, desire, compassion for ourselves and each other.”

    Alyssa Ramos

  • “We were a group of office folk who were mostly unfamiliar with meditative practices. Sojourner made us feel at ease as they guided us through simple loosening and awareness exercises. All we had was a conference room full of swivel chairs, but for half an hour, it was a temple. When we returned to our work, we all felt open and ready to let the creative juices flow..”

Are You a Good Fit For By Moonlight?

  • Are you willing to pause or slow down a bit?

Whether we are creating a retreat together, building a cohort or entering a strategic planning, the By Moonlight process includes a pause to evaluate the specific needs of you or your team. The the people and groups that gain the most from working with us are those that also take time after a By Moonlight process to integrate new awarenesses.

In order to practice new worlds, you must slow down enough to make new commitments that support the integration of humanity and healing into your everyday life. With a slow and steady pace forward we can course correct when there is a slide back into old ways.

  • Are you ready to explore embodiment and creativity?

All lasting change happens at the body and nervous system level. While By Moonlight values processing in our minds, we often center body wisdom using somatic exercises, play, and gentle movement to arrive at individual and collective truths.

By Moonlight relies heavily on creative modalities of inquiry such as, movement, visual arts, crafting, breath work, meditation, and collective singing to help us step into the world we imagine, starting from within.
